Dr. Jayaram graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and completed an Internship in Psychiatry at the Stanford University School of Medicine. He completed his Residency in Preventive Medicine at Stanford and Kentucky. Dr. Jayaram maintains a California Medical License, a Maryland Medical License, and a United States DEA License. He is Board-Certified in Preventive Medicine by the American Board of Preventive Medicine, a member of the American Board of Medical Specialties (the overall body which recognizes all physician specialties in the United States, such as pediatrics, cardiology, dermatology, and neurosurgery).

In addition to medical education Dr. Jayaram dedicated years to exploring Eastern philosophy including intense study in the Himalayas. His work primarily consists of integrating Eastern philosophy with Western medicine. By bridging the approaches of the East and West Dr. Jayaram aspires to provide more effective solutions for improved physical, mental, and spiritual health.

Dr. Jayaram has a long history of academic excellence. During his undergraduate studies he conducted molecular biology and neurobiology research at Penn State, Duke, and Harvard. Dr. Jayaram earned his Bachelor of Science at Penn State with Honors in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. He subsequently published and patented his research in drug-discovery biotechnology. During medical school at Penn he expanded to meditation research funded by the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Jayaram has received numerous honors for distinction in academics and research including awards, scholarships, and grants.

Dr. Jayaram has studied Eastern philosophy for several years, and his time in the Himalayas has allowed him to deepen and intensify his learning through direct experience. At Penn State, Penn, and Stanford, Dr. Jayaram led discussion and meditation groups to explore and share Eastern wisdom. Dr. Jayaram continues to teach, write, and counsel based on the synthesis of Eastern philosophy and Western medicine. Through his work Dr. Jayaram hopes to enrich wellness of the body, mind, and spirit.
